Little Picassos- Open Studio*

Note: This is a drop in art studio and subject to change.

Scouting Programming

CMLH offers programs to scout troops to introduce them to current ecological issues, emphasize their connection to local history, and evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity in the world of nature. Activities are interactive and give kids the tools to continue their learning outside of the Museum experience.

Currently, we offer 3 programs to Girl Scouts:
A 90-minute experience includes a staff-facilitated creative workshop
and discovery time in the Museum galleries.

The Naturalist: Let’s explore the world of bugs and insects.
Get up close and personal with our living collection, learn about
their fascinating world, and why they play such an important role
in nature.

The Conservationist: We have a great responsibility to
take care of our planet. Learn about composting, being water-wise,
and making changes to use in our daily lives.

Celebrating Community: Located in an historic 1923
train depot, the Museum has many stories to tell. We’ll trek back in
time to learn about our rich agricultural history in Orange County
and tour through our historic 1942 Caboose.
